David Strong moved from England to Denmark in 1990 and has since established himself as one of that country's busiest and most versatile pianists. Whether as solo pianist, accompanist, or chamber musician, David Strong has earned respect and admiration throughout Europe. As well as giving piano recitals and playing chamber music, David Strong is a passionate believer in playing for children and young people, and is very active in the field of schools concerts and school music projects. His lecture recital, together with David Carlton Smith, "Playing Pictures" has also proved very popular. He studied piano at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester under Marjorie Clementi. In 1990 he moved to Denmark and won the pianist position in the Jutland Ensemble.

portraet_200px_henrik_husum.jpg Henrik Husum - Oboe
Henrik Husum studied with Bjørn Carl Nielsen and Jørgen Hammergaard, and took diploma from The Royal Danish Academy of Music in 1986. He continued studying with Gordon Hunt in London and Lothar Koch in Salzburg. He has assisted in Danish symphony orchestras and is a member of Århus Sinfonietta. Henrik has been a member of The Jutland Ensemble since 1988.

Jens Juul was born in Copenhagen in 1961. He has studied with Bjørn Fosdal and Poul Erik Vilsbæk at The Royal Danish Academy of Music. Studies in Stockholm with Ib Lanzky-Otto. Freelancing between 1984-89. In 1996-97, Jens did a private CD-project with music for horn and organ in cooperation with the Danish National Radio. Member of The Jutland Ensemble since 1989.

portraet_200px_uffe_munkgaard.jpg Uffe Munkgaard - Bassoon
Uffe Munkgaard was born in Copenhagen in 1958. He studied at The Royal Danish Academy of Music with Peter Bastian. Later studies in Hamburg and Budapest. Scholarships: The Grant of The Hungarian State, Augustinus Shaws Scholarship. Member of The Jutland Ensemble since 1988.

Ulla Østergaard was born on the island of Fyn in 1958. She studied with Jens Schou and took diploma from The Academy of Music in Odense in 1986. She continued stydying with Georgina Dobrée at The Royal Academy of Music, London, and with Søren Birkelund from The Royal Danish Orchestral. Member of The Jutland Ensemble since 1988.
